Leaves, layers, bags, fresh growth on skateboard decks, what price art? 67 not out…

The notion of a daily painting went on, the 67th painting of 2017, March 8th 67/365 – “Fresh Leaf Growth” – Fresh leaf growth and the notion of a smaller painting brought to a finished state every day of the year during 2017. The 63rd painting of the year was painted on a skateboard deck retrieved from a Hackney skip a few days back.  63/365 – “Fresh Leaf Growth on a skateboard”Fresh leaf growth and the notion of a painting brought to a finished state every day of the year during 2017. The notion of a smaller painting a day goes on, 67 days in now, it isn’t really an option not to painting, a day is not a completely satisfying unless something has been created, and it is enhanced a little more if it is created on something that somebody didn’t want, an old skateboard deck thrown in a skip, an unwanted unplayable vinyl record, an old fashion bag discarded and then retrieved and painted on. This Eileen Fisher fashion bag, was found in Hackney bin, it became the 59th painting of 2017 and the next part of the What price Art questiom

What Price Art week 7 – A return to the What Price Art question and a piece of art posted up on E.bay every week with an opening bid price of 1p. This piece went live as a 1p E.bay auction piece, on Wednesday 1st March 2017. and ends on Wednesday March 8th. Piece number seven is now live, go find it on ebay, that link there or my name in the ebay search engine should take you to it (as well as other smaller pieces that are for sale on ebay).  What Price Art?

Meanwhile this rather pleasing  photo just turned up on my social media feed, I’m guessing it was somewhere around the Art Car Boot Fair last year (or maybe the year before), two of the hundred £1 pieces that have almost become an Art Cat Boot Fair tradition now (photo by Martin Westhorp)

The 58th and 59th painting were completed yesterday and the day before, the 58th saw fresh layers and leaves on another evolving unwanted 12″ piece of vinyl, the 59th on a found unwanted fashion bag, an Eileen Fisher bag rescued from a Hackney skip.
