A series of three paintings painted on the first Friday of February as we prepare for the Chinese Year of The Dragon. The painting came from a photo of a Snapdragon that I had pinned on a board in the studio, II kept seeing a face looking at me and I wanted to paint it really (really) quickly without thinking, just reacting. All three paintings were painted at the same time, I gave myself 43 minutes to do it and longer and it would have been overworked. Each one is on a 15cm square canvas…
