And off up a church tower, the Tower show is the real thing, the Cockney Guggenheim as they like to call it…

Yes, I know, I’ve rather neglected this website this year (I have written acres of words on my other website, that monster never stops demanding my time when it really really should), I have neglected this website terribly this year. I haven’t posted images of new work, I haven’t written about it, I haven’t catalogued the latest Ten paintings or the latest #43Leaves pieces and yes, I’ve neglected Cultivate this year as well, something’s gotta give (as them Stranglers sang). I have been rather busy actually painting rather than documenting and I have been very picky about shows this year, I just need to paint and not let the rest of it eat the time. I do have a piece in a show that opens tomorrow though, and I do have some pieces heading for Glastonbury next week, my art goes to Glastonbury every year, I never do….

I did just update the events page, more details under the images, three events coming up including tomorrow night’s opening. I did particularly want to do the Tower Gallery Group show, unlike the rather aloof thing than is this Month’s Hackney Art Week, an event that seems to exclude most of Hackney’s working artists, the Tower show is the real thing, the #CockneyGuggenheim as they like to call it. Pleased to have been invited to show a rather large canvas piece. The show features art made by artists living, working or connected to East London and it is a rather special venue, rather looking forward to the opening

Summer 2025 at Tower Gallery, East London – 12th June until 6th July – A large group show in a gloriously tall chapel tower in Plaistow, East London. Opening night Thursday 12th June, 7pm until 9pm (everyone welcome) and then until 6th July (open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 3pm until 7pm). I have been invited to show a rather large canvas piece. The show features art made by artists living, working or connected to East London. I believe there’s something like 80 artists involved. The address is 395 Barking Road, Plaistow, London, E13 8AL

Upcycle Gallery at the Glastonbury Festival – More #43leaves pieces and such in the Green Futures Field, Glastonbury Festival, 25th until 29th June 2025, do go and grab one, they will just be waiting to be taken. Yes indeed, ou might well find a leaf or two painted on found recycled material in the Upcycle Gallery space in the Grean Futures Field yet again this year. Nice to be invited to take part once more. My art gets to go every year, I haven’t been since the last century.

Wand Frie 2025 at 35blumen, Krefeld, Germany – 11th July until 25th July – A group show over there at a gallery called 35blumen, Westwall 80 b, 47798 Krefeld, Germany. They do keep inviting me and this time things haven’t got lost in translation.
