This one had to be painted. I’ve had the new Sunn O))) eponymous album sitting here for a couple of weeks now (release date is 3rd April 2026, I did already put up a news story about the album on the Organ website). Yes it is a Rothko painting on the cover of the album which kind of made it a strange one to paint but it really really had to be done and I was only going to get one chance to experience the power of the album for a very first time once and that very first proper very loud listen had to be combined with painting it.
