Some things; the latest Mixtape opened last night, the 10th in the series of Mixtape on line group shows we’ve put together under the Cultivate banner and the 45th Cultivate on line show in all (the 203rd Cultivate show or exhibition or event if we’ve counted it all right). Curating is an important part of my art practice, the sense of art as a thing that exists in community, the bringing of people, artists, art people, viewers, painters and the rest together. These shows go take a lot of pulling together, almost harder work that physical shows, so please do go have a look, here’s the details…

Mixtape No.10 – Opening on 17th March 2026 – An online group show, the 10th Mixtape and once again a Cultivate/Organ curation put together by Sean Worrall and Emma Harvey and featuring the work of 37 artists. As with all Cuitivate online shows, we see no reason to ever close Mixtape No.10. Explore all 45 Cultivate on line shows here, they’re all hosted on the Organ magazine website. A lot of time and effort goes into these online shows, it is about opening the doors and the links. About artists supporting each other.

Meanwhile, still with my curators hat on, we’re back in the gloriously punk rock DIY flavoured space that is Free The Gallery in April, i really like showing work and putting on shows in this space, hopefully it stands long enough for us to invite and indeed incite you to come explore…

Explore at Free The Gallery, Crystal Palace, London SE9 – Opening on Friday evening 10th April 2026 (6pm until 8pm) and then running through the weekend of 11th/12th April (11am until 4pm) at the rather delicious space. A show curated by Cultivate which means once again I have my curating hat on. I rather like the space. Here’s some coverage (via Organ) from the last time we did something in the space – And so Switch The Other happened, a carefully Cultivated art show in a glorious space in Crystal Palace… I expect we’ll be showing the work of around a dozen carefully selected artists, watch this space.

EarthBall at Cafe Oto, London, E8 – 17th April 2026. The invitation has been extended by EarthBall for me to paint while they play. They are one of my favourite live bands at the moment, well one of my favourite bands full stop so I was more than delighted and rather excited to accept the invite. Here’s a review I wrote of the last time the Canadian band played Oto back in 2024 – ORGAN THING: EarthBall and Chris Corsano kick off a tour at Cafe Oto, London in impressive style – that was intense, that was good, that was avant jazz no wave noise intense, that was serious commitment… and here’s the link for more details and indeed tickets for the gig. Cafe Oto is found at 18–22 Ashwin street, Dalston, London, E8 3DL. Who knows what’s going to happen? Well I have an idea, we shall see what evolves. The gig kicks off at 7.30pm, I guess I paint during the headline set, somewhere around 9pm. A big blank canvas somewhere to the side or behind the band is what they said…
