And so Explore happened, another Cultivated art exhibition over at Free The Gallery, Crystal Palace, SE London. Another…

Oh there’s never enough time for the keeping up of websites and blowing my own trumpet here on this one as well as over there on bloody social media or indeed on the Organ website. I did do a lot of blowing of my own trumpet over on the Organ website this week – Organ, for those of you who don’t know, being the magazine that I started (along with animation artist Marina O) back in our art student days of the last century and a rather different world. There is art and music news and views going up on the Organ website everyday, it has been a thing for thirty-nine and a bit years now, it is a non-stop tine-eating beat of a thing and right now you can find a missive bag of photos and rather a lot of words/thoughts in terms of last week’s Cultivate show, Explore, over in Crystal Palace on the other side of London.

Explore was a Cultivate show, so that meant I had my curator’s hat on as well as all my other hats and everything else; the selecting of the artists, the dealing with their lives, the running of the show, the being there to open, close and clean up after everyone on each of the days it was open, the herding of those other artists, the hanging of the show, the publicity, the listings and every other bloody thing as well as the “hey that was great, we should all do it again” at the end of it all. I did write a long piece and post it on the Organ website a couple of days ago, I should really post the link here, you can go read it all if you wish to, I’d rather like you to, these things do take some time, here’s the link, there’s a big pile of photos of the other artist’s work and more, there is a video, there are lots of thoughts, meanwhile this website is supposedly about my own work so here’s a shot or two of my pieces that hung on the walls of Explore for you to explore…  Here’s the link:
