The two EarthBall paintings released as limited edition prints…

“Seeing Doors Unlocked” – April 2026, Acrylic on canvas, 30x30x4cm,

I’ve been asked a number of times now about the EarthBall paintings – the two paintings made before and during EarthBall’s performance at Cafe Oto.  For those of you who don’t know, beautifully intense Avant noise rock/freeform jazz band EarthBall played at London’s Café Oto recently, they invited me to come join them on stage and paint with them during their set. I did write a piece for Organ about painting live with EarthBall, here’s link, it was quite an experience

We have now made limited edition print versions of both the painting made on the day at Cafe Oto and the painting made before while listening to EarthBall’s most recent album very loudly just once in the studio. Find them both via the Cultivate online shop. Both prints are limited editions of 23. Both are Giclée prints on Hahnemühle Fine Art Bamboo. Size is 30x30cm (12x12in). 290 gsm, 90% bamboo fibre, 10% cotton, natural white, matt finish.

As for the paintings themselves, not sure what will happen to them yet. I guess in an ideal world, next time EarthBall are over here, I’d entice them into a gallery and do it all again in the bright light of an art space rather than the dark of music venue. So maybe I’d hang on to these two paintings until then
