The notion of a smaller painting a day goes on, 67 days in now, it isn’t really an option not to painting, a day is not a completely satisfying unless something has been created, and it is enhanced a little more if it is created on something that somebody didn’t want, an old skateboard deck thrown in a skip, an unwanted unplayable vinyl record, an old fashion bag discarded and then retrieved and painted on. This Eileen Fisher fashion bag, was found in Hackney bin, it became the 59th painting of 2017 and the next part of the What price Art questiom

#365ArtDrops by the river, down in Borough. More growth on a skateboard, everything is a canvas…

The #365ArtDrops piece goes on, yesterday parts of the piece were left down by the Thames, south of the river, around Borough High Street as well as the market.  Pieces painted on found pieces of wood, on recycled cardboard, on an old sign. 98 parts of the piece have gone out now.

Meanwhile, more growth painted on another broken skateboard deck found left on top of a bin on the street, here in Hackney, East London, recycled, painted on and ready to be hung on a gallery wall or… Everything is a canvas…

On with the #365ArtDrops piece, all over London in the last week…. no busking… down by the river…

More growth, more drops, skateboard decks, paper shopping bags, bits of wood…

Loading up for more #365ArtDrops today and over the Spring Equinox weekend, where shall we “drop” them this time? Dozen or so pieces painted on found things going out for people to take away should they wish to. Each one numbered and with the hashtag on the back so people can tell us where the pieces go…

#365ArtDrops ready to go....

#365ArtDrops ready to go….

Yesterday was mostly about new blue growth an a big canvas that has been evolving over the last two year since it was dropped off outside the Art Depository show a couple of years ago. This big piece (140cm x 140cm) has been shown a couple of times in shows since I first painted on it, this week a new spurt of mostly blue leaves (others may see hearts, or indeed something other than leaves or the hearts some insist they see)
