And that was that then, a year carefully dropping 365 painted on things…

And that was that, 365 paintings on found things, 365 pieces carefully placed (never dropped), 365 pieces painted, placed, photographed, shared. Thanks to everyone who blogged about it, twittered about it, Facebooked about it (social media has been an important part of all this), thanks to all the people using the hashtag and sending in their photos and their tales.

The final part of the piece of work was painted (on a large board) last night as the year came to an end and the fire works went off in East London, it went out, we’ll eave it with a bit of mystery.  A year long piece that started with a spur of the moment idea on a New year’s Day walk and the first part, a piece I just happened to have in my bag, was left out…

The final 14 pieces went out yesterday, December 31st. Painted on recycled Christmas gift bags, on pieces of found wood from building site skips, the whole thing is documented via a tumblr feed, photos of all 365 parts of the #365ArtDrops piece

A big thanks to everyone who has taken part, sent in photos, blogged, twittered and been part of it throughout a rather rewarding year, been brilliant to see the photos of people with their pieces coming in. We do plan to compile all this in one document at some point… A book maybe? So do please keep all your photos and information flowing in, where have all the pieces gone to? Have you got one? We’d love to know… We saw these three fine people walking along Brick Lane with a piece they had just found, off to Germany we do believe…
