The notion of completing one piece a day, one smaller painting finished every single day of the year…
The notion of completing one piece a day, one smaller painting finished every single day of the year, one smaller affordable piece of art brought to a finished state and then added to the Cultivate on-line shop every day of 2017 (all being well, no fate tempted).
The first eight on 2017
Today’s completed piece of fresh leaf growth (Jan 8th, 2017) was painted on a floorboard. A painting on a recycled piece of wooden floorboard picked up off the Hackney street. And as I do keep pointing out if something is thrown out then leaves and such are going to grow on those things.
Meanwhile the What price art question will happen on a weekly basis, a return to the ongoing question for the new year. Each week a piece of art will be posted on e.bay throughout 2017, a piece of art posted once a week via an on-line auction site, each piece with an opening bid price of £0.01, one piece a week for 52 weeks. What price art? A weekly piece of art there to be bid on. The first piece went up on the auction site last Wednesday evening with an opening bid price of 1p, view it here on ebay. The second piece will go up on-line once again with an opening bid price of 1p next Wednesday evening..
On with the leaf growing, lots to be cultivated this year, art can’t slow down. The first gallery show of the year will be a return to the Gold show at Dalston’s BSMT Space, more about that and the Cultivate curated Fragile show later…
