“Margate Skyline No.25 (The Turner Contemporary) – Sept 2020 – Acrylic,, gloss varnish on canvas, 30cm x 40cm.

There has been a slight return to the skyline paintings over the last few weeks, the notion of looking up above the roof tops, the sky beyond the shapes and the lines of the roof tops, the edges of the the beautiful Turner Contemporary in Margate or the Bankside power station that is now the Tate Modern. The Cultivate on-line shop  has been refreshed with some of the new paintings today I imagine more will be added later tonight after the last of this glorious light light has gone, I imagine there will be more Skyline paintings over the next few days, they’ve been kind of neglected during the dark days and weeks of lockdown and not looking up that much, I needed to get back to it all and I do like the repeating of the shapes made from different studios and sketch book notes and such. There are some new ones on the 10cm square canvases, some of it has become pop art now
