Had this awful nightmare last night, I don’t really every talk about my dreams or nightmare but last night’s is burnt in right now, I was watching some kind of rolling news TV thing in the early hours of the morning and the president of the US, the self-proclaimed leader of the free world was on there for something like 30 minutes talking absolute twisted insanity about not playing any more and taking his ball home and the points his team has scored count mote than the others and the other team had scored some points that were on the scoreboard and it wasn’t fair and he had had his sweats stolen or someone had voted for someone else other than him in an election or something, it was so unreal, a president acting like that, very strange dream. He was there all orange and bitter on the TV screen telling the whole world all this and how he was taking his ball home to his big white house and he was going to lock himself in and never come out to play ball again and there everyone was in China and Iraq and Iran and Germany and Denmark and everywhere else all over the world laughing and wondering how a country like the USA could have a little boy leader of the free world who acted like this. We weren’t laughing here in England of course because over here we have Boris and his Latin and his rugger is the tops a game for men they say and his driving of the fastest milk cart in the west and what’s the plan today Dominic? What a strange dream, where do these nightmares come from? How’s the real world today? Are they all coming together to address the climate change problems and to deal with Covid in a joined up way?
