Fresh growth, new layers, A Flower, a series of 15 pieces, 15 paintings that have never been exhibited or shown before, some of them revisited this year with a new flower cultivated, some left as they originally were when painted in later 2017 and early 2018. The pieces are on roughly cut heavy duty thick/strong cardboard. The edges are deliberately not quite cut straight so there is an emphasis on recycled material the painting is on. Recycling is an important part of this series of 15 pieces as is the repetition of the “Smith on Locke” logo that is deliberately left showing through in a pop art flavoured manner. All 15 paintings will be offered for sale for the first time at the Forthcoming Flora and Fauna (on-line) edition of the Art Car Boot fair that happens over the weekend on May 15th to 17th. Thosr cardboard boxes could not be resisted.
