There are new Skylines, an ongoing series of paintings that started in Margate in the late summer of 2019, a series I like to return to now and again. The ongoing matter of looking up at buildings, above buildings, the shape of buildings, the beauty of brutalism. I know these Skylines are a bit of a departure, I find it as hard to marry them up with my other works as everyone else does but they are as important to me as everything else I paint and I expect they will go on. There will be new ones presented at this weekend’s Art Car Boot Fair.
