Apples and Pears and fruit from the London trees…

“A North London Pear and a West London Apple” (Dec 2022) – Acrylic on canvas, 20x20cm

“A North London Pear and a West London Apple” (Dec 2022) – Acrylic, gloss varnish on canvas, 20cm x 20cm x 1cm – The still ongoing matter of fruit picked from London’s trees. Simple studies just for the pure enjoyment. A new painting painted at the start of December 2022, a study of an apple and a pear, a pear from a tree in Islington, North London and an apple from Kensal Green, West London, both picked from rather full trees, the last of this year’s fruit, the pear was from an actor’s tree, she had a tree with so many pears, we’ve been eating pears all week here in the studio. I have painted them several times now, I expect I will paint those pears again befor they’re all eaten…
