“Could Be Lost?” – Acrylic on canvas, 30x40x1cm ( May 2023) – A fresh bit of gardening at the studio today, a new painting, a new flower, a flower? A piece started and finished this afternoon. I am doing a lot of thinking about painting and why do it right now. I did ask the other day if there was still time to rescue it all. There’s still time to rescue it all, or remember what it was about, or maybe find it again? That’s if I ever did in the first place. A new painting, painted today while I was thinking about painting and lost freedoms and the whys and the wherefores of it all in terms of actually making art and making “stuff” and why. I was feeling very uncomfortable about the whole way the Art Car Boot fair, they have a week-long online event on at the moment, I;m one of the participating artists.
