The Tens go on, it was daily thing for the first thousand, I had though that might be the end of it but no, the art muse said no and on went the series, occasionally now, but on it still goes. lasted longer than three dreadful Tory Prime Ministers, two of them unelected, three on them unfit for office. Over the last month or so I have been thinking about voting and that X on that piece of paper and well, we go on. We have a Labour leader now and not for one second do I think they have all the answers or have been left in a position to do anything about the mess that has been left even if they do have come of them, but at least we know that on the whole their first though isn’t there own pocket, their own profit, their own share-holdings and what they can make out of any situation. it was really just about voting that dreadful government out. The Tens go on, the drawing and painting goes on, these are the latest and well, they are as much about the joy of paint, just loading up a brush and painting a simple X and enjoying the rawness of the colour, the texture. I don’t really see the Tens ending anytime soon and I don’t expect everything is going to be rainbows and unicorns with this new Government, but hey, at least they’re not self-serving pocket-filling entitled Tories laughing at us in that entitled way they have been doing for the last fourteen years. Good riddance.
You can find all the recent Tens here and you can of course find some of them in the online shop although I never have time to keep the shop fully up-to-date in terms of putting new work in there. This page is fully up to-date and if you see one that isn’t marked sold and it isn’t in the shop then do please ask. They are all still always on a 10cm square and however much galleries may complain and demand I put the price up, they will always be on sale at £10 each. There has been 1070 Ten paintings now and there are more in progress…
As always do click on an image to see the whole thing or to run the slide show…
