Down to Margate, 2015 Art Car Boot Fair at the Turner Contemporary…. The second leg of the 2015 Art Cart Boot Fair happened at the Turner Contemporary on the seafront of Margate on August bank holiday Sunday (August 30th). . We were invited to take part once more, fifth year, always a great day, contemporary art smiling for a day, hair let down, people, chat, familiar faces, fun. This time a 43 pieced cardboard piece, 43 pieces of cardboard painted at the same time, rather like the idea of a unique piece of hand made art, an actual painted rather than a print, being for sale at £1. All 43 pieces sold quickly (hopefully non of them get flipped on ebay). A bag load of affordable art and the first train out of East London, down to Margate for a day by the seaside, some art drops, some selling of very reasonably priced art. The whole thing, the photos of other artists involved, some words on the whole day and more can be found over on the Organ pages. Here’s a taste of my pieces, the stars, leaves, pieces painted on cardboard, blocks of recycled wood, small canvas pieces….
