One left down by the river, another on a rail in Birmingham, another by a bridge in Hackney…
#43ArtDrop, part 12/43 (Dec 2016)
The latest of the 43 paintings that make up the December #43ArtDrop piece, have been left hanging on walls for people to take should they wish to. Another piece of work in 43 parts, 43 paintings on things found on the street, things found, painted on and then put back on the street, mostly the London streets (and river banks) occasionally out of town. New life and fresh layers on unwanted thrown out things, fresh growth. Pieces left by London Bridge, by the river, a piece left on a rather colourful East London building, another by a railway bridge in Hackney, and one left outside a railway station in Birmingham, all of them left for people to take, all with the hash tag on the back so people can engage, this people of work is partly about the engagement and the social media interaction, where do they go? Back in to landfill? Hung on people’s walls? All 43 parts of the piece will be hung out before the year ends, the final #43 piece of a long long year….
