“A Nice Pearr (from Mare Street) – May 2019, acrylic on canvas, 30cm x 40cm x 5cm

Found an old unwanted plastic frame in a bin, painted it black, grew a leaf on some found recycled cardboard to sit in it, left in a bar in Brick Lane, East London, last night, there in the dark of the corner for someone to take should they wish to (a bar that where people who kind of like that kind of thing go to drink, not some random bar where it would almost certainly end up back in a bin again I hope, although you never quite know where these things end up unless someone tells you they have it, there is a hashtag on the back should someone choose to use it).

And the #43Leaves piece is evolving, a piece a day until the Art Car Boot Fair on June 23rd, 14 paintings on found recycled material have been painted now, each of the 43 pieces will be for sale at £5 per painting only at the fair on the day, one or two might even be “dropped” or left hanging on the walls of Kings Cross on the day of the Art Car Boot Fair. I like that art is affordable to almost all at a thing like the fair (almost of course, not everyone can afford to spend five pounds on a piece of art). All 43 parts of the piece are being painted on found material…
