The ongoing matter of a “Ten” painting, a simple painting concluded on a daily basis, not started and finished on the same day, there are always several pieces in some kind of state of progress, right now there are seven pieces in progress on the table next t othe big paintings I’m working on. It is always about the 10cm square canvas, about the edges of the canvas, and trying to keep it all simple or simpler (simpler than it has been so far, the 26th is a little more like it than the previous 25).

The series started 26 days ago, who knows how long it will go on for, it might end this weekend,.it might go on for year. Always on the same 10cm square canvas, and always offered for sale at a simple price of £10 via the Cultivate shop. I did have a gallery approach me about the series, they wanted to take show them and sell them, they wanted ot put the pricce of each one up to £50 each – hey, galleries have costs, they have bills to pay, I’m not complaining, but it is all about the simple Ten of it all, so no, that isn’t going to happen (there may well be some avaiable at the forthcoming Art Car Boot event in September though).
