it is all very very simple, the Flora and Fauna edition of the Art Car Boot Fair is an ON-LINE event involving something like 150 artists. It all happens on line, the venue is your computer screen. You’ll find 150 or so pages to explore, one per artist or gallery, each page full of the art of us participating artists, some especially created for the event, some specially priced and exclusive to the event. You need a ticket to get on to site and explore, view and indeed buy art on the first day, a ticket gets you first pickings as it were, the first day being Saturday May 15th. On Sunday and Monday May 16th and 17th entry is free to everyone and everything can be explored, enjoyed and again, if you feel like it, bought. All very simple, all very easy. – Tickets and details here
I will have around 80 or so paintings on sale, all the Tens painted in April will be offered via the Fair first, each one priced at £10 just as the daily concluded Ten paintings always are, there will be all the paintings that have emerged during the Spring that is still trying to break out, the current loose series of A Flower paintings and such, Everything will be priced in line with the notions of the Cheap Art Manifesto I expect work will be added over the weekend so do keep an eye on things…
There’s a very nice piece from Art Car Boot Fair curator Karen Ashton that takes in some of the Organ history as well as some Cultivate, it went up on the Art Car Boor Fair website yesterday ahead of May’s Flora and Fauna adition of said fair. Must admit it was a nice shot in the arm after the emotion of yesterday and the news of Paul Cunningham that got a lot of the Atom Seed fanily reconnecting. Nice see some acknowledgement in terms of Cultivate. We love being invited to take part in the Art Car Boot Fair, I certainly do, the May event might be on-line and okay, it isn’t quite the same as gathering in a big open space and al lthe music and dancing and performance and colour and being face to face with each other, but there are lots of positives to on-line events as well, especially in terms of those who can’t always get to to London (or wherever the fair has taken us in recent years, we have been to Liverpool, Margate, Hastings, Folkstone, Ashdown Forest in Sussex). Anyway there’s a nice piece on Cultivate and Organ and Emma Harvey’s paintings and some of the things I do…
