Fresh growth, new layers, leaves and the ongoing notion of a smaller painting brought to a completed conclusion on every single day of 2017. The most recent pieces are acrylic pieces, a combination of brushwork, spray paint and that vital layer of gloss varnish on recycled cardboard, 21cm x 21cm. yesterday’s concluded piece is yet to be photographed, day 345, twenty more pieces need to be concluded this year, I rather like the evolution that has been revealed since January 1st as each piece is concluded, view them all here, the question is, will this all stop at the end of 2017? I rather like the challenge of concluding a piece every day (these are not pieces that are started on the same day as they are concluded). The best place to follow all this (should you want to) is via the Instagram feed. “Will they all be exhibited at the end of the year?” asked someone a few days back, no, many of them have already been sold or”dropped” on the street, some are for sale via the Cultivate shop, some of the more recent ones will be part of the Intent show that opens at BSMT Space in Dalston (London) on January 18th but no, the pieces are scattered all over the globe now. Incidentally if you are after a particular piece and can’t see it in the shop, please do ask, it might have already found a home, it might still be here.
