“Third Time Lucky For…” – January 2021, Acrylic on canvas, 50x40cm. A new painting concluded last Sunday, a piece that had been evolving in the studio over the last six weeks. Once again the canvas was found lying in the road by a skip, it had very little on it, hardly a mark. It is about the layers and looking through the stars to the layers of stripes on top of each other. I can’t recall who was third time lucky now, it was someone on the radio while I was painting.
